Have the G70 now for a little over 6 months and just learned why I've been having a problem with radio volume lowering when navigation is talking. For the last 6 months navigation volume and radio volume have been the same. The solution has to do with how I have set up cabin speaker positioning. For me, I get the best all around sound when I have the rear speakers set louder than the front speakers. Or, to put it more correctly, I've adjusted the speakers so that most sound comes from the rears. However, when navigation is talking, it does so through front speakers, but the rear speakers' volume is not changed. So, with my speaker position/volume setup, the sound from the rears is still on, and it is as loud as the navigation volume...thus, the perception of the radio's volume not lowering during navigation.
