First look at 3d digital instrument cluster

Genesis has given us a first look at the new digital instrument cluster than will soon be making its way into their models. It will launch specifically in the G70 in the Korean market next year, but will likely expand availability into other markets in the future. The 12.3 inch screen is said to be first with realistic 3d imagery. It features eye tracking technology to ensure the proper illusion of depth. 3d functionality can also be disabled and visual cues will change depending on drive mode.

I am sure it has other screens / views, but this is not classy and I imagine would wear out relatively quickly just like a video game. Just IMO.

Expecting classiness in a model that rivals some of the sportiest and mass market luxury vehicles to hit the market, especially from a brand on the rise, we have to set our expectations accordingly. If you're like me and content with the rest of the G70, this is just a small area to hopefully be addressed in future model years.
There is no guarantee that this display will even come to the NA market, so we'll have to see what the reception is like for it in Korea. I'm just glad that the G70 is getting some original tech.

It seems like something that might be big in Asia and with the pocket rocket tuner crowd, but not necessarily for their target North American demographic. Not that I know exactly who their target is but I think I can guess. As you said, this car rivals the A4, 3 series, C class, S60, and the Japanese equivalents. I could mention the ATS too but Cadi is changing that model. You would never see that digital interface in those models so if Genesis is looking for conquest sales, well....they need to look closely at Audi’s virtual cockpit. That there is an outstanding digital IP.

The rest of the car is quite classy I think, maybe with the exception of the chrome boomerang, but even that i’m getting used to.
Not to revive an old thread but, the 2022 G70 in other parts of the world have the same 3D cluster as the GV70. Is it possible to just get one of those clusters which look to be the exact same size as the 2021 G70 and allow the 2021 to have the newest cluster?
