It helps the G70's image even more now that a G90 will be revealed soon and has been teased. Slowly Genesis is showing they too can be a real contender.

People looking for affordable luxury put in extra effort to get the product but not so much as they shop higher up where options are many.

Resources were stretched too thin with the old dealership network and I think cutting down on the number of approved Genesis stores will not only improve customer service, but should also increase the number of allocations each sees.

We got an early look at that effect during the recession of 2008. GM was the hardest hit, meanwhile Toyota and Honda dealers weren't nearly as impacted.

As there is no long options list for the G70, people can also take advantage of pre configured models on lots. Might be able to get some nice discounts on demo models as well.

At this point you can find G70's from used dealers, you'd be surprised at how quick some people are willing to sell for whatever reason.

I have seen some heavily discounted models at certain dealerships, but most of them have a good amount of mileage. Why do we think people are driving them for 5,000-10,00km and trading them in?

Sometimes dealers sell demo/loaners/corporate cars's once they pass a certain range so sometimes you end up finding those.

I'm guessing that some people decided that it didn't quite live up to the expectations that they've set from previous luxury vehicles. Or they just want to get rid of it before significant depreciation sets in.
