After performing a simple interior review of my own on the G70 to assess head/leg/shoulder/hip room dimensions, I realized how bad those rear seats were.

A lot of us had expectations of this "3-Series rival" being practical, even to rear seat passengers, for those that need to accommodate them. If that's what you need, don't waste your time reading any further, a Stinger GT is what you need. Dimensions, like wheelbase, width and length are even similar on both G70 and 3-Series, but that's about where it stops. The other dimensions (posted below) really reveal its coupe-like design that puts the strain on adults sitting in what i'm now seeing as more child friendly seats. Sitting in them myself as a 6 foot 160 lbs guy, I found legroom, head room, shoulder room, hip room and the overall seating room to be terrible.

The G70's rear seats are great on shorter commutes up to 30-45 minutes. Beyond that you'll be dying to get out!

Up front, I fit. If you're taller than me expect to run into problems which coincides with what another member mentioned, and another that brings up the 3-Series:

• "a review from car advice noted in the front seats that headroom is fine for anyone up to about 185cm (72.8 in. or 6 ft.), and knee-room is adequate with a driver’s seat set for someone of that height too. Back seats seem to be a different story as per usual.”
• “there’s little headroom in the back and not enough foot wiggle space if the driver has their seat set low. Odd, for a car that’s about 60mm longer and 40mm wider than a 3-Series.”

I understand how this might or might not be an issue depending on the type of buyer you are. Some like myself might just want more practical version of a sporty 2-door coupe that will seat two adults 80% of the time. I'm one of them. Then maybe support a growing family till it quickly out grows the G70. Genesis can get away selling to us for now. Eventually they need to address these issues especially with the G70's design not being special enough to warrant such restrictions.

If you read this far, are still unsure about the G70 and still want to buy Korean... buy a Stinger GT. :wink2:

I'm 6'3 and fit great, my son is 6'6" and was comfortable in the passenger seat. Not sure that either of us would fit in the back seat of any car in this class, the 3 series that I traded was bigger, but I wouldn't be able to go more than 5 minutes back there either. And, the Stinger is a nice (fast) grocery getter, but I don't see it as the same class of car.

Stinger is on a different end of the spectrum, being less luxurious in every way from feeling down to materials.
There are people who will see it as an alternative. I've seen a few already.

If Lexus doesn't come out with a next-generation Lexus IS soon enough then I might budge on a G70, a CPO G20 3-Series has been in the cars too.
