Found these spy shots on MotorAuthority.

Hmm... trying to look for some similarities to the concept but it's escaping me.

I personally don't see anything too similar. I mean maybe overall shape ? But nothing too specific.

Rear end looks a bit too much like an S-Class with the way those tail lights lit up and were exposed. I just really hope they haven't reverted to how they used to operate as a brand decades ago. But so far everything else seems to check out.

The front grille design looks odd to me, why is there a plastic camouflaged plate above the license?

 

[Peter]

Perhaps used for the radar system ? Like self parking, active braking, cruise control stuff ?

So, going back through the pictures, looking at the interior, those seats throw me off. They look like something that came out of a Sonata. Not a good look when something as simple as that doesn't fit the framework of what you expect in this segment.

Literally no shape at all. Super flat, looks like a crazy lack of bolsters and what not.

I think there's potential ultimately we'll have to wait for it to be revealed which should happen before this year is out or before the first quarter of 2017 is out.

Overall though I feel confident in Hyundai that they'll come out with a line up of Genesis sedans that look like they visually belong in the segments they sit in.

For sure, They're going to make this work. They've come a long way and they don't show signs of slowing down at any point which is great.

 

[DeeJay]

Slowing down doesn't seem to be in their books anytime soon. Seems like their going to be trying to hit every different segment they can.

I know Genesis is going for the luxury market, let's hope they don't use any cheap plastics in the dash and door panels.

 

[Peter]

That's another thing to think about that I actually have lapsed on. Materials is a big thing to be aware of when we start getting them in autoshows. It could look all nice and flashy but if it's comprised of cheap plastics and garbage, is it really worth it anymore ?

 

[FastG]

Depending on what they bring to the show and if they allow people to get into it or not we'll be able to see that for ourselves. Although it might be a preproduction model and not exactly representative of a production model, it will give us something to go off of.

 

[Peter]

It should be close enough at least. Get a general idea of padding and comfort. But like you said, that's if they even let us in there. I have a feeling they'll leave it closed.

Looking at the spyshots that were posted on the date that you posted and looking at these ones that I've just seen by TFLCar, this is complete camo opposed to yours? More changes perhaps?

Not uncommon, it's nearing the time of debut so we should be seeing more posts about it and less camo slowly being shredded off hopefully.

I haven't seen anything new so far... have you guys seen anything?
