I'm glad to see that someone is trying to keep manual transmissions alive. G70's with manuals are going to be great finds for people when they hit the used car market down the road.
Genesis actually needs it to build their customer base. If it wasn't for that, manuals would actually cost them money. I bet by the mid-cycle refresh Genesis will phase out the manual.I'm glad to see that someone is trying to keep manual transmissions alive. That makes a lot of sense, it's a great way for them to get the attention of enthusiast drivers.Genesis actually needs it to build their customer base. If it wasn't for that, manuals would actually cost them money. I bet by the mid-cycle refresh Genesis will phase out the manual.
Initially, yes. In the coming years they'll want to chop it sadly. At least out MT's will go up in value a bit. That makes a lot of sense, it's a great way for them to get the attention of enthusiast drivers.
Here's hoping! and like @GenesisFast said, they're going to be great used finds for people as well.Initially, yes. In the coming years they'll want to chop it sadly. At least out MT's will go up in value a bit.
For sure, keeping the manual helps satisfy enthusiasts like us and it allows them to continue growing their brand for more casual buyers.Genesis needs it while establishing themselves.
Its the one edge they have and can depend, all while for big automakers, holding onto manuals actually cost them money and provides little benefit.
Which tuners have you seen getting that kind of performance? I'm always keen to see what others are doing to the G70.I hope everyone who loves the manuals that Genesis provides, are buying them. Tuners are getting 400hp from the G70's 4 cylinder.
I definitely won't say no to a manual G70 with AWD. Also, it's crazy how much power people can get from that 2.0 engine. For the 4 popper, Racechip is achieving 310 hp, but I don't know the name of the other one who has 350 hp from that engine. My mistake of saying 400 hp.
I was thinking of several engines, and several tuners, who are focusing on over 600 hp from the 2.0 Hyundai turbo. I think We need AWD from Genesis with the manual. Is anyone else thinking of this too?
