Hi all,

Being totally upfront here: comparing the G70 and the Stinger. Only interested in the 3.3T.

Was a bit confused looking at the option packages about the adaptive suspension. Is it only the Sport package that gets it?

Thanks!

Hey. Welcome to the forum. Yes. only the 3.3T Spot gets it. Direct from the Genesis press release:

:All G70 models ride on a MacPherson multi-link front and multi-link rear suspension with a performance-oriented geometry, offering optimal wheel control and a finely-tuned balance between ride comfort and handling prowess. The G70’s mass is managed via various aluminum components, including an aluminum hood. The G70 2.0T and 3.3T models equipped with the Dynamic package are further enhanced by the inclusion of a mechanical limited slip differential that improves traction on corner exit by balancing torque distribution across the rear axle when wheel spin is detected. G70 3.3T models feature variable gear ratio steering for agile directional response, and 3.3T Sport models add electronically controlled suspension for greater driver adjustability.

Experiencing G70 is customizable to each driver’s preference, with five available drive modes. Adjustable elements include: powertrain response, steering weight, engine sound, all-wheel drive torque distribution, and suspension firmness. Custom-drive mode further adjusts a variety of vehicle parameters to suit preferences or driving conditions."

Here's a comparo with the Stinger and a 3 Series

I wish Genesis did more with the 3.3T. Didn't Lexus launch F Sport versions of the IS right away? Genesis should have done the same thing.

Where are our N Sports or whatever Genesis plans to call it?

I think it's too early for a performance version. Well, maybe it's actually finally time.

If they release one too early on then they hurt sales of the regular models. I figure it takes a year or probably two years of sales before they can release a version like that.

Would love to see it though. Somewhere around 420-hp!!!!

Fair enough.

Once the Genesis dealer network issues are all sorted out we should then see how the G70 can really perform on the sales end.
Do you think a hotter Genesis product could be coming to a segment above the G70 before a hot G70?

hey @Thomas-Hawk

it sure is in the sports package along with head-up display and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, along with some other essentials for a "sport" package AFAIK
are you planning to give it some track time every so often or stick to more local roads?
Probably no track time, just local roads.

How much of a difference does the ECS make for just driving around town, taking those exit/on ramps and corners at a "fun" speed?

It's really the only option in the Sport package that I feel I really "want". If it doesn't make a big noticeable difference, would probably just go with the Standard package, or possibly Elite and/or Prestige if I could work out a great deal on one with a dealer.

Hey Tom, have you had a chance to see both vehicles in person yet?
Hey @GenesisFast,

No, not yet. I just saw a Stinger GT in front of me today on the freeway. I don't like the rear end. And the more I compare the Stinger and the G70, the more I'm leaning toward the G70.

Things that concern me with the G70 is availability (I want RWD, and there aren't many around the Kansas City, Missouri area), dealership experience, and where I'll need to go for maintenance and/or warranty work.
