Glad to see that this is going to be the case but its too bad that odds are it won't last beyond the mid-production cycle mark. However what that could mean is that people who own them, will have G70's that hold value better than other trims and year models.

No price points as far as I'm aware, though when it comes to auto and manual gearboxes, the savings is usually around $2,000. Not that big of a difference, but it's still money saved.

Wonder if we'll see the Stinger get a manual option down the line as a result, seeing as how they share the same platform. I suppose the Stinger is a grand-tourer and they are still trying to prove themselves capable of delivering high quality vehicles. Shame we can't get the manual with the V6 but beggars cant be choosers.

The manual gearbox won't be limited to just Canada because the option will be offered in the States as well. But it's only available with the 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine and not the 3.3-liter turbo V-6 unit. Not sure why they just won't give buyers the option of a 365 hp G70 with manual instead of limiting it to the 250hp one.

At least they have demonstrated that they are aware there is a shortage of cars for real driving enthusiasts. I think it sales are successful enough on the turbo four, that they may consider expanding the option to the higher model. Name another brand new, 250hp RWD car that you can get standard.
