Genesis has finally debuted the new G70, a sports sedan set to rival the likes of BMW 3-Series, Mercedes C-Class, and Audi A4. Fresh from Seoul, South Korea is a gallery of images giving us a close look at the Genesis G70 from every angle and CarScoops has a short rundown of the specifications.

Set to go on sale in Korea on September 20th, buyers will have choice of three engines; a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6, a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder petrol and a 2.2-liter inline-four diesel. The top tier Sport variant shares a twin-turbo V6 engine with the Kia Stinger, delivering 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. Then there’s the 2.0-liter turbo with 254 hp and 260 lb-ft on tap, followed by the 201 hp diesel model with 324 lb-ft of torque.

Presumably in all-wheel drive configuration, Genesis claims the G70 Sport can sprint from 0-62 mph in just 4.7 seconds, which is a tad faster than the Stinger’s 4.9 seconds.

Of course as a luxury brands, a certain level of opulence is expected and the Genesis has that in spades. An 8-inch infotainment screen comes standard as does Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It’s even equipped with Genesis's "smart posture control system," a feature that analyzes a driver’s body in order to adjust the seat, steering wheel, mirrors, and HUD to the individual’s body type.

There’s also a long list of active safety alerts and warnings including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Highway Driving Assist, Blind Sport Collision Warning and Driver Awareness Warning.

Korean buyers should be seeing the G70 on showroom floors soon, but global release details will be announced early next year.

I thought the lower grille would just have a few horizontal slats and that's it, but Genesis designers put a lot of thought into adding geometric shapes to it. Everything on the front is just perfect imo.
