It’s normal (occasionally fairly agressive) downshifting.
Yes it's normal, but most noticeable when engine and tranny are not up to temperature.2019 G70 3.3T, 7K miles.
I have noticed that when I slowly come to a full stop, the last 10-5 mph of the stopping are rather "jerky." It feels as though either the brakes are grabbing too much considering I am only lightly pressing on the brake pedal, or the transmission is heavily downshifting. Had the car inspected by Genesis and they say the it is normal transmission functioning causing the grabbing, an nothing is wrong with the brakes. Like to know what your experince is when making similar slow stops? Thanks.

Not normal, Genesis mechanic rode with me and believes its the rotors or pads doing this grabbing. Only 9000 mi on car. May replace on warranty next week!Yes it's normal, but most noticeable when engine and tranny are not up to temperature.
Got news for you ITS NOT NORMAL! This is not caused by downshifting. Been there done that! After 4K miles the grabbing got so bad they refaced ALL my rotors. Problem solved. I hope everyone reads this post. It’s normal (occasionally fairly agressive) downshifting.
Ok, at least my techs agree with me. Just been told they're going to completely replace all the brake rotors.Got news for you ITS NOT NORMAL! This is not caused by downshifting. Been there done that! Only problem is I'm back in at 12K miles with it starting up again. It gets progressively worse and the rotors need to get hot after a few stops for you to notice the steering wheel shaking even with gradual stops.
Are we looking at defective rotors
have same problem on my 2019 g70 3.3 Took it in and they resurfaced the rotors but still doing the same thing.2019 G70 3.3T, 7K miles.

Doesn't sound like you're out of warranty. Go complain, let the dealer drive the car. Tell to make sure the brakes are warmed up and you're at least doing 40,mph. That's when its very noticeable. I did that and the mechanic agreed, they resurfaced the front rotors. Drove the car again then told me STILL NO GOOD .. They had to do the back rotors as well. Absolutely no grabbing, shaking or steering wheel vibration - all gone just smooth stopping.I have the same problem, it feels like warped rotors. I've been living with it for a while, have 20,000 plus change miles, and I was thinking of just replacing the rotors with slotted or cross drilled rotors. Any thoughts on this?
