Genesis has announced a special consumer event for their new lineup that will take place from January 26 to Feb 2nd. It will consists of giveaways and test drives of their new models including the G70 at different locations in the Atlanta area. Public events like this serve as a great opportunity to increase awareness for the brand and prove their luxury and performance pedigree. https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/genesis-drives-the-ultimate-fan-experience-in-atlanta-during-super-bowl-liii-300784048.html

Something like this would have been far more successful years ago, as viewership of the NFL has been steadily decreasing over the past few seasons. Allocations for their cars are still quite limited and there are many dealers in my area that don't have a G70 on the showfloor.

These test drives better not be only in regular conditions but also with a test course to show what the G70 is really made of.

Hyundai has been hard at work reworking their dealership network, so that shouldn't be as big of an obstacle as it has been with their previous models. I agree that its on a closed course where you are really going to see the merit of the G70.

For some companies just getting screen time and seat time for potential customers is enough but what people really need is an "experience"

I think Hyundai was just looking for another way to get involved with the Super Bowl since they decided to bow out on their sponsorship renewal. They've clearly recognized that this event doesn't bring in the eyes that it used to.

After seeing this new super bowl spot for Audi I know people will forget about this Genesis all due to brand bias that everyone has.

I guess some exposure is better than no exposure.

The E-Tron GT is 1.) fully electric and 2.) rumored to start north of £100,000, so it sits in an entirely different class than that of the G70. I admit its a sharp looking sedan, but doubt that anyone will be cross shopping between these two cars.
