Two different engine options

The G70 will be offered with two different engine options. The base engine will be a 252hp 2.0 liter turbo inline four that generates 260lb-ft of torque. There will also be an optional 365hp twin turbo 3.3 liter V6 that's coming from the G80, that provides 375lb-ft of torque. Genesis claims the V6 can do a 0-60 sprint in 4.7 seconds, with a top speed of 167mph.

It'll be down to the price difference between the 2.0 liter and V6, though I assume most people will just go for the former as it still has more than enough power to satisfy the peoples' needs for a daily driver.

I guess it depends and I'm not sure how typical I am. For me, in a car of this type, power is a big part of the attraction and I would definitely opt for the 3.3. Sport sedans with too little power lose a lot of what I consider their essential character. I've certainly found that to be true with BMWs that have had what I consider undersized engines. But for many, the 2.0 will be adequate and the cost savings will certainly appeal.
I'm sure some will go for the Sport and some will be happy with the standard engine and considering what car I'm coming from, the entry level variant is good enough or me unless the difference between the 3.3 and 2.0 is pretty slim.
There is more than 100 horsepower jump from the 2.0l to the 3.3l, so its going to come down to your budget or transmission preference. The 6 speed manual is reserved to the turbo four, and I'm more interested in the base model for that reason.
