Wow, don't think I ever been on a forum with members coming from that volume of history.

Do you test drive cars from the segments your about to buy from or generally know what you want from the start?

I’m 73, so I’ve had a long time to buy cars. The G70’s driver’s seat is about the lowest one I can get out of without assistance. 🤣 I refuse to buy an old man’s car. I almost bought a Miata a couple of years ago. That would have been a bad idea with my old back and knees.

Seen some lists from people 20-30 years younger than you that owned just as many. A few were in the business of buying/selling which makes it easy to move them around.

I'm 68 & one to hold on to a car for a long time.
There's been:
VW Scirocco
Taurus SHO
and a few not really worth mentioning.
Last car I purchased for myself - 1997 Mitsubishi 3000GT. Still have it, still drive it on occasion. 186,000+ miles on it. Only when I drove the G70, did I find something as fun to drive.
Last car I bought new, a 2006 Hyundai Sonata.
My G70 Sport 3.3 T ... it's 4 months old, I smile every time I get inside.
I really enjoy working the clutch & 5 speed in the 3000GT tho.

I'm still amazed at the vehicle history many G70 owners are coming from.

Genesis should interview real owners with some interesting history. To the average person, the perspective that comes from that is invaluable.

While working for the same company for 32 years, I had company cars from GM (Buick Skylarks and LeSabre, Chevy Impalas, Pontiac Bonnevilles and Grand Prixs,) Ford T-Bird-not the cool one, Mercury Sables, Plymouth Fury...and such middle class cars.) However, when I retired at 60, I bought the company car (Grand Prix) and a new 2000 Nissan Pathfinder. Two years later, sold the GP and got a new 2002 325i (the classic E46). Then sold the PF for a new 2006 BMW Z4 soft top. Held onto the 325i until 2013 and got a 2013 Cadillac ATS. Not becasue it was a Cadillac, but because it was meant to replace the driving characteristics of the E46, which it did, but better. In 2017 I sold the Z4 for a leased (my very first leased car...with no regrets leasing) MB C-300 coupe. A beautiful car that was more luxurious, but sporty enough. I still have the ATS as my BMW replacement, but now have the 2019 Prestige/Elite 3.3T G70. And, I have to say that at 80 years old, this is the best driving and most powerful car I've ever had...just hope i don't kill myself enjoying the new found power.

You should test the new 3-Series if you haven't already. Now that a new generation is out, its a more true benchmark to compare the G70

I recently purchased the G70 3.3 turbo and love it. It does drink gas in sport mode so be prepared

Genesis needs an aftermarket division, they are missing out on a lot of $$$$$. The emblem on the hood and trunk are chrome but everything else is black chrome. I need black chrome emblems.

G70 very similar to ATS in size and handling, about a second faster 0-60.
That Lincoln with its turbo V6 could actually give the G70 a run for its money (in a straight line).

Fortunately the G70 is making a much bigger impact on the road. Ever since the ATS launched I haven't seen any, G70's have been the complete opposite.
